The idea for the Carnival Marathon combines the passion for marathon running with the enthusiasm for the Cologne Carnival. Since its inception in 2016, this marathon has become a unique event to kick off the 5th season of the year. The 10th edition will take place on November 11, 2026, in Cologne-Pesch and is limited to 50 participants. Costumes are explicitly encouraged, but not mandatory. The course is officially measured and runs over a 2.7 km loop around the Pescher Lake.
